Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII 1st Trailer

The first trailer of the third and last installment of FFXIII, dubbed Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, is out!

Lightning’s wardrobe change was a bit iffy for me at first, but she does look graceful once you see her clothing bounce as she moves around. Though now, her clothes, if combined with the town’s scenery, kinda resembles Assassin’s Creed to some extent. And those red ladders and other red objects make a bit of Mirror’s Edge. But I guess that’s just me.

I can’t help but say that no matter how pretty Lightning is, having her on three consecutive Final Fantasy games is overkill. Even though I don’t want to, my marginal utility for her as well as anything FFXIII-related is slowly diminishing. And the trailer shows what you’d expect to be a FFXIII game, nothing much new. So I hope there’s more to this game than the initial trailer.

Anyway, I’m still looking forward to the next ones to come.

P.S. WTF Square Enix? Where’s FFVXIII!?
