A Veneto Napoli Pizzeria Ristorante!
After that motivational symposium of entrepreneurs organized by Startup PH held at Microsoft’s office (lol) in Ayala, me, Ungri and Dennis ran across an old friend of while in the area- the Italian restaurant that goes by the name A Veneto Napoli Pizzeria Ristorante. Thus a late yet belly-bursting dinner commenced!
All Meat Pizza 16″ – 580 PHP
An old friend because my brother first introduced it to me around freshman highschool (2003-ish), when it still had a branch right across Eastwood, Libis. I remember whenever there’s a celebration- be it Christmas or someone’s birthday, the fam-bam would usually eat here or order out. Eventually the branch closed so we weren’t able to eat there anymore. The nearest branches would be in Silver City, Trinoma and Glorietta- places we don’t usually go nor have easy access to so yeah, no more A Veneto since then.
Mussel Sauce Parmigiana – 260 PHP
Strolling around Ayala Triangle after the event, I was surprised to see a branch of A Veneto there. I decided not to let this opportunity to have my friends experience this awesome foodie joint pass, of course. Thankfully, they had no qualms on eating here so we went in and ordered up after having looked at the menu.
My all-time favorite here (as well as my family’s) would be the Mussel Sauce Parmigiana- red sauce Italian pasta uber-rich in tomato, melted mozzarella cheese and baked mussels (tahong) sided with a tasty and fluffy garlic bread. Kind of weird for some of you? I know, even I was appalled at first at having been served with this seemingly-eerie combination of pasta and mussels. But somehow I got hooked on it after the first bite and it’s been my favorite ever since! Give it a chance and maybe you’ll end up just like how I did.
Italian Sausage Parmigiana – 275 PHP
One order of pasta is already good for two to three persons, and the same goes for their 16″ pizzas. No need to be picky for their pizza flavors, as what they have are usually the ones you’d see in any Italian restaurant or fastfood chain serving pizza- various combinations of meat, bacon, vegetables, seafood, cheese toppings, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary. Two orders of pasta, 16″ pizza and bottomless drinks for you and three of your friends would equal to 345 PHP each. Not bad for this pseudo-authentic and yummy experience!

Wow, thanks for posting about A Veneto. I’ve never tried eating here before, but my friends and I are planning to meet in Makati this weekend and we might have lunch here!:D

So, we had our lunch here last Saturday. We ordered the Howie’s Special pizza and I also had Philadelphia Cheese Steak! The steak was topped on a bread and it was slathered with cheesy goodness. It also had french fries on the side so it was too much that I was not able to finish them all! Haha. But it was so worth it, the price and the serving are A+.
Awesome! Now I also want to try that Philadelphia Cheese Steak haha >.
