A Night at Goodfellas Steaks & Burgers!

One of our group’s photographers and also an elementary school friend of mine, Josh, invited us yet again on his usual Thursday night out with his old college buddies. Last time, it was all about booze but the agenda that night changed to American-style steaks with a couple buckets of beer at Goodfellas Steaks & Burgers!

Santino’s (10-12 oz U.S. CAB Ribeye) – 975 PHP

It was my first time eating here, but Josh said to bring the camera anyway since his friends really recommended the place. I’m glad I did. Anyway, let’s start by discussing how to go to this beef haven of a steakhouse: It’s address is at 56 T. Gener cor. K-1st st., Kamuning, Quezon City. To those living in QC, finding this place will be a cinch. For the outsiders, our landmark would be Tomas Morato. On one end of Tomas Morato st., there’s Timog st., but we’ll be going to the other end, E. Rodriguez st. side where Kamuning rd. is nearer. After turning to Kamuning from Tomas Morato, T. Gener will be on the 2nd to the right street and you’ll find the resto there.

Eating there was a blast! Although a bit expensive, I guess it was really worth it the first time around. David and I split Santino’s Steak (first photo on this entry) which cost aroundt 1k PHP, but it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! ‘Really?’ you ask? Well, sorry to put coffee on your tea, but I haven’t tried Wagyu and Kobe beef yet lol. But before them steaks arrived, we had beer and some fries.

Frenchy Fries to Share – 120 PHP

House Steak (8-10 oz. Angus) with Mashed Potato – 345 PHP

Rice – 30 PHP

Bottomless Raspberry Iced Tea – 90 PHP

The others went with the usual but not-to-be-belittled House Steak that cost 345 PHP per 8-10 oz of Angus beef. All steaks come with either rice or mashed potato and drinks must be ordered separately. Waiting time for cooking the steaks span from about 10-15 minutes tops.

Goodfellas Bar

We were planning on drinking out on what remained of the night that day, but sadly, the restaurant’s bartender wasn’t around so nobody could serve us mixed alcohol drinks. Bummer. So after said belly-bursting session in Goodfellas, we went on to burst our livers at 77 Cafe. Anyway, the steaks are great in this place. You guys should try it out when you have the chance!
