Nendoroid Petit Type-Moon Collection Unboxing!

Ah, how I’ve waited to get my hands on this figurine collection (and, no, not dolls! lol) since last year, and it finally arrived! This Nendoroid Petit Type-Moon Collection Box contains twelve mini-figurines of the famous femme fatales of the Type-Moon franchises Fate/Stay Night, Fate/Zero, Shingetsutan Tsukihime, Kara No Kyoukai, Carnival Phantasm and Mahou Tsukai no Yoru.

Stuff like this isn’t usually available for sale here in the Philippines, but for some that do make it, they usually take a long while for them to hit otaku boutique shops. But thanks to Onegai Onii-chan.com (owned by Edrell Dy and Czarina Geronimo), I was able to own this late 2012 merchandise just a few months after its release. Try checking out their site and you might see interesting finds of figurines of your favorite anime. I guess the procedure would be 1.) Choose a product from their selection, 2.) Pay the downpayment, 3.) They order it abroad, 4.) Wait for its ETA then pay the balance and get your toys via meet-up or local shipping.

Inside the big box are twelve smaller boxes that house each mini-figurine. The fun part here is that they aren’t labeled with what character they hold inside- you just find out when you open them.

Looking at the box’s designs and pictures, I realized there are only 11 characters displayed while there are a total of twelve boxes. Was there a mistake? Then I read this:

So, who’s that secret character they mentioned? We’ll get to that later. For now, I’ve safely removed them from their boxes like so, and assembled them as they appear in the photos. I said assemble because their hands, legs, hips and heads can be moved, and others have special items you have to attach to them eg. Saber’s motorcycle, Phantasmoon’s staff, Alice’s hat, etc. And here I thought things couldn’t be any simpler.

Here’s a photo comparing my old Fate/Stay Night class A fake Nendoroid Petit collection and the new one’s Rin Tohsaka and Saber. See the difference? The fake twelve-piece box cost around 1,500-2,000 PHP while this new one I got, definitely genuine from Good Smile Co., costs 3,650 PHP. I thought I got it for a steal when I bought the fake one. Turns out that with just a little more dough, you could get the real thing already.

Anyway, here are photos I took to showcase all twelve characters. Maybe I’ll get into toy photography soon.

Aozaki Touko and Alice Kuonji of Mahou Tsukai no Yoru, Saber of Fate/Stay Night, Ryougi Shiki of Kara no Kyoukai, Arcueid Brunestud and Ciel of Shingetsutan Tsukihime

Saber Lili of Fate/Extra, Phantasmoon of Carnival Phantasm, Irisviel Von Einzbern and Saber of Fate/Zero, Rin Tohsaka of Fate/Stay Night and Neko-Arc of Carnival Phantasm

Turns out that Neko-Arc is the secret item. :D
