Ersao: Taiwanese Chow and Milk Tea

    by chad

Yet another addition to the awesome foodie places in Marikina City’s Lilac St. is the famous Taiwanese food extraordinaire, Ersao! Their specialties consist of various flavorful choices of noodles, rice toppings, dumplings and milk tea for a reasonable average price of 100 PHP. They have a number of branches scattered around Metro Manila, but this one would be the nearest to those residing in Rizal. So what are you standing there for? An awesome set of Asian grub awaits!

Spicy Chicken Rice – 85 PHP

Like I said, it’s located along Lilac St. Though I may have been repeating myself on how to get here on my previous posts (since there’s just so many awesome places here), here’s the gist- coming from Antipolo, Cainta, Pasig, Quezon City or wherever, you all need to go to Sumulong Hi-way (be it via Marcos Hi-way, Riverbanks or Gil Fernando St.). Make a turn to Soliven St. (near Masinag side), and go straight ahead passing the bridge separating Antipolo and Marikina. You’ll be on Lilac St. by then. Keep moving forward, and you’ll see it near Rancho 4, and beside Crazy Katsu and Teaza.

What I really liked and grew quite fond of was their Spicy Squid Rice. Top it off with a bountiful squeeze of their secret garlic sauce recipe, and it’s gonna pack quite the appetizing punch! The same goes to the similar Spicy Chicken Rice. The serving may seem only adequate at first, but the tasty-ness surely compensates. In my case, a second serving of rice is always in order. A third, even. Get some dumplings on the side and milk tea for the drinks and that would make the perfect experience. Their soup and noodles are also good, but I’d prefer to almost always order their signature garlic-sauced rice meals. After all, Tamagoya is still the best noodle place for me in Soliven-Lilac.

Oh, I forgot they also deliver (number is below). To the too busy or too lazy, worry not!

    Check these awesome dishes out!
